Most people only think about backups after something goes wrong. A good backup runs by itself, and setting one up takes much less time than recovering lost files.

Which backup is right for you?

Cloud backup, like OneDrive, iCloud or Google Drive, copies your files online automatically. It’s ideal for photos and documents, and it protects you if the computer is lost, stolen or damaged.

An external drive keeps a full copy at home. It’s quick to restore from and has no monthly fee.

For files you can’t replace, we recommend both: one copy in the cloud and one at home.
